Another assignment we have worked on is the stairs in Erimtan Museum.  Each group was given a specific staircase in the Erimtan Museum area. We were to be more careful and exact with the details of the steps and dimensions.

Experience of the human body through staircase, an architectural element, was another aspect we have analysed and interpreted. This specific starcase’s steps were not orthogonal but parallelogram which indicates that it rather gives a rich directionality to the human body.

It acted as a transition zone, connecting the main entrance and the cafeteria below. Also the stairs widens gradually when stepping down which gives an expanded area for human body to walk through.

Furthermore, through the stairs there were a couple of extension areas which enable human body to moving out from the route of the stairs and rest in the add-on zones.

we have also produced a model and a section drawing depicting the qualities of the staircase.
